Last updated: 6 October 2026. This policy covers my-iq-path.com: the free IQ test and the articles on this site. If you save your result to a My Path account, the My Path privacy policy covers that account from then on.
The short version
- You can take the test without an account, a name or an email address.
- Your answers are stored under a random, anonymous identifier, and an unsaved sitting is deleted automatically 90 days after your last visit.
- Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them. We run no advertising and set no advertising cookies.
- We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who is responsible
My IQ Path is part of My Path, operated by Petro Biriukov, a sole proprietor based in Wrocław, Poland, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: [email protected], or the support button on any page of my-path.net.
What we collect when you take the test
Your sitting. Which form you chose (12 or 60 questions), the option you picked for each question, whether it was correct, how long each answer took, the language of the test, and the result we calculated.
An anonymous session. Your browser keeps a random token so it can return to your result. On our side that session holds a one-way hash of your IP address and of your browser's user-agent string (not the values themselves), the page that first referred you, and any campaign tags in that link.
An operations notice. When a test starts and when it finishes, our server sends a short notice to a private channel the operator reads, so problems are noticed quickly. It contains your IP address, the approximate location our host derives from it (city and country), your device type, browser, operating system, screen size, time zone and browser language, the referring page, time spent on the page, and the result. These notices are not linked to any account and are not used to build profiles.
What we do not collect here: your name, email address, payment details, or anything you have not typed into the test.
How we use it, and on what basis
- To score the test and show you your result — necessary to provide the service you asked for (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To build the comparison group that percentiles are calculated against. Completed sittings feed aggregate tables of score distributions; those tables contain no individual answers or identifiers (legitimate interest in an accurate test, Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To keep the test working and fair — flagging implausibly fast answers, limiting automated abuse, and the operations notices above (legitimate interest in security and reliability, Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To understand how the site is used, through Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies (consent, Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer.
Your result is an educational estimate. We do not use it, or let anyone use it, to make decisions about you.
Cookies and local storage
Your browser's local storage holds the anonymous session token (so you can return to your result) and your cookie choice. Neither is used for tracking.
Google Analytics 4 sets its cookies only after you click Accept. Until then, and if you decline, it runs in a restricted mode that sets no cookies; Google may still receive basic cookieless signals, such as that a page was viewed, without an identifier that persists between pages or visits. Advertising storage is permanently switched off.
Who processes it
Cloudflare (hosting of this site; it supplies the approximate location of a request), Render (hosting of our application servers and database), Google Analytics 4 (analytics, only with your consent; data retained for 14 months), Sentry (error monitoring of our servers) and Telegram (delivery of the operations notices). Some of these providers process data in the United States; where they do, the transfer relies on the safeguards they provide under EU law, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- An unsaved sitting — your answers, result and anonymous session — is deleted automatically 90 days after your last visit.
- A sitting you save to a My Path account stays with that account, under the My Path policy, until you delete it.
- Aggregate score tables contain no personal data and are kept.
- Google Analytics data (only if you consented) is kept for 14 months.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, or for a copy of it. Because a sitting carries no name or email, we can only find yours if you send us its result link; email it to the address above and we will act within 30 days. You can also simply clear this site's storage in your browser, and an unsaved sitting will then be deleted on schedule. In the EU you may complain to a data protection authority; ours is the Polish UODO. If you are in California, the same rights apply, and we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined there.
Children
The test and articles are written for adults and older teenagers. This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used the test, contact us and we will delete the sitting.
Changes
When our practices change we will update this page and the date at the top. See also the My Path terms of service, which apply to the test.
